Plaza Beach Hotel Bamburi, Bamburi

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was fantastic, overlooking the ocean and perfect for a peaceful family holiday. However, the room cleanliness left much to be desired, with mosquitoes being a nuisance, and the breakfast lacked variety and service understanding. On the bright side, the service was excellent and responsive to complaints. The dining experience was subpar with limited options and unfinished leftovers, but the facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.

The hotel's location was really good, just a few minutes away from nice restaurants with good cocktails. The rooms were dirty with few facilities, the air conditioning was very ineffective making it too hot to sleep. The curtains were very dirty, and the toilet smell was very strong. While the staff didn't make the place welcoming, they served satisfactorily. The price paid was fair, considering the location enjoyed near the Mombasa Beach.

The hotel has a functional air conditioner and a nice balcony, but unfortunately lacks WiFi in the rooms. The basic rooms had only one bedsheet which was a downside. The strong smell in the toilet was unpleasant.

My stay at the hotel was really nice overall. The rooms were good and very spacious, clean, with a very nice bathroom, functional air conditioner, and a lovely balcony. However, the only downside was the lack of wifi facilities in the rooms.

The hotel is right at the beach, although the rooms looked tired and in need of redecorating. They are not exactly 5-star but not too bad either. The service was friendly and ready to help, but I would suggest aerating the rooms and improving the comfort of the mattresses. The location is also very convenient, just a few minutes away from nice restaurants and cocktails. Unfortunately, the dining experience was poor and not tasty, with food running out quickly before most guests were served.
